Your website’s landing page will ultimately decide the sales

Website UI UX will get your User Interface & User Experience under check but what about the User Intelligence? 

We shop online all the time or in other words we are always looking for someone to convince us to buy their products & the one who does convincingly wins the game.


Customers don’t trust you, they don’t understand the product as you do, they don’t necessarily see others using your products & maybe they don’t even think your product helps them. This is going on in the customer's head subconsciously. 


Your website or landing page should satisfy the questions that customers subconsciously think.


Here are five questions that every landing page should attend

1. Feature vs. Benefit Comparison:

In 2024, why would someone buy a Chumbak Home Decor item instead of a regular home decor piece?

Feature: Is it because it has vibrant, colorful designs inspired by Indian culture?

Nope.

Benefit: Is it because it lets you bring a touch of India’s rich heritage and quirky charm into your home, making every corner a conversation starter? Gotcha?



2. Outcomes


We move to Outcomes after we give benefits/ features. Comparison of Feature vs. Benefit vs. Outcome. 

Feature: Prestige Induction Cooktop is famous because it has multiple cooking modes and precise temperature control?

Nope.

Benefit: It is because it allows you to cook a variety of dishes with precision, ensuring perfectly cooked meals every time. Bingo!

3. Social proof


The best way is showing actual people who have made decision before you. There are a few things that you need to keep in mind

  • People trust faces - but avoid stock photos

  • Highlight powerful passages of text in bold

  • If you're selling a service, throw in micro-case studies

  • If you sell a transformation, use before and after shots

  • If you have a celebrity using your product, show that

4. How does it stand out?


Okay, let’s be real – we check out all the options when we shop. In fact, the person who lands on your website probably saw a competitor before landing here. And that’s totally cool! Since we shop around, let’s cut to the chase and talk about what makes you stand out. We do that by saying “Here’s why we think we’re the best choice for you: [highlight best attributes]


5. Easiest buying journey


Last things would be to make it really seamless for someone to buy because if you have answered the above 4 questions, then customers just need a final push to make a buy so Make it as easy as possible for the visitor to take action. Move out of the way and help your customer click to the next step. Bring back your hook from the top of the page.
